1. Daily Cleaning:

For cleaning after cutting meat it’s recommended to clean with water and vinegar.

Apply the oil or wax in the direction of the wood grain using a clean, soft cloth.

For stubborn stains or lingering odors, sprinkle coarse salt on the board and rub with half a lemon. Rinse with water and dry thoroughly.
Baking soda paste can also be used for stain removal. Apply the paste, let it sit for a few minutes, then scrub and rinse.
4. Avoid Extreme Temperatures:
Do not expose the cutting board to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to heat can cause the wood to crack, and excessive sunlight may fade the color.
Avoid placing hot pots or pans directly on the cutting board.
5. Knife Care:
Use sharp knives on the cutting board to prevent excessive force and minimize the risk of cutting into the wood.
Avoid using serrated knives or cleavers that can cause unnecessary wear.
6. Resurface if Needed:
Over time, the cutting board may develop small scratches. To refresh the surface, lightly sand the board with fine-grit sandpaper, and then reapply a coat of mineral oil or beeswax.
